girl by ava olsen
Do you see that girl
the one in the glass box
she longs to feel happiness
do you see that girl
the one with the painted face
she longs to feel loved
days of crying her eyes out till her face aches
her eyes are raw
then waking up the next morning like nothing has ever gone wrong
do you see that girl
that has become weak
but aches to be strong
girl
put your hand over your heart
and do you feel that
that is called purpose
for you mean more to me then you will ever know
your eyes are beautiful like the sea
you will be loved
“i love you” she says
her bare skin touches his
their lips meet and she feels infinite
she could depart right now as she stares into
his eyes
no one knows how long she dreamed of a love like this
she waited all her life to feel this way
beautiful in anothers embrace
the nights spent alone
so cold from the inside
crying
erased
“i love you, too” he whispers to her
he feels her bare skin
his lips brush his sweethearts neck
he could depart right now as he
stares into her eyes
the nights spend with meaningless conversations, putting up walls from pride
wishing to cry
too afraid to show his weakness, for fear of not being a man
erased
and so they layed
and looked at the stars
when she met him, she realized why the stars shine
and never cease
why they shine the brightest on the darkest nights
because even though we are imperfect
someone out there is perfect
for us
people
think the worst feeling is sadness
is depression
is despair
is loneliness
id beg to differ
when you sit in your room for hours with your head in your hands
when your face is stiff and aches from blankness
searching for words to say yet too weak to let them croak from your thought
so I’d say
the most painful feeling is not knowing how you feel
not able to pinpoint how you are doing
not being able to answer a friends question “how are you?”
i am not happy
i am not sad
i am empty
and thats the worst feeling
